Continuing the success of the IHHN conferences thus far we are pleased to announce the 7th Conference will be held in the cruise capital of Europe, Southampton, UK.
We invite abstract submissions under the heading “Changing Society: Community Wellbeing and Transformation – How health humanities can change the world”.
We seek submission of abstracts for 15-20 minutes presentations, 1 hour symposia, or poster presentations, on (but not limited to):
- Creative practice in community wellbeing and societal change
- Bringing down the barriers, creative ways of breaking down boundaries between ….
- History of the use of the arts in community and health transformation
- Individual experience of transformation via the arts
- General Health Humanities themed papers (as per the preceding years, there will be several general themed panels)
Abstracts for creative workshops are also encouraged particularly those which may involve audience participation. They may include some theory alongside the practical element but workshops are expected to be interactive. Please specify the expected length of your workshop when submitting, usually up to a maximum of 45 minutes.
Abstracts for all types of participation should consist of up to 500 words. All abstracts should be written in English. The Abstract structure is flexible, but the following three-part structure is recommended:
- Introduction / objectives / frame;
- methodology / procedure;
- results / conclusions / discussion.
Abstracts will be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each participant may submit up to three proposals, however, his/her name cannot appear in more than five.
The presentation may only be carried out by participants enrolled in the conference. All participants will be given a book of abstracts in their arrival packs.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 1st May 2018 at 00:00. Confirmed Presenters must be officially registered to the conference by 30th June 2018.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to decide the final format (oral or written) of the presentations or inform about the acceptance or rejection of proposals as soon as possible and always before 31st May 2018.
The deadline for early bird registration is 28th February 2018.
