This is a graphic report by Ian Williams from the initial symposium for Care Under Pressure, an interdisciplinary research programme, currently in progress at Exeter School of Medicine and Health, that seeks to investigate the complex issue of mental ill-health in doctors taking into account its many dimensions (individual, relational, psychosocial, cultural, historical) and develop recommendations to address this issue.
