We would like to share the Call for Papers (max. 20 minute per paper) for the virtual ACLA seminar in May 2027 on the topic of using graphic medicine as method (for medical/health humanities – also as a means to advocate for disability rights):
“Graphic Medicine as Method: Visual Storytelling and New Directions in Medical/Health Humanities”
https://www.acla.org/seminar/8e8951d5-0528-4f3b-8ca6-a85d927b7bbf
Keywords: Graphic Medicine, Medical Humanities, Disability Studies, Intersectionality, Participatory Research
The seminar will bring together the perspectives of our international attendees to foster discussions and the sharing of ideas on the different ways graphic medicine can be leveraged for social impact.
Organizers: Kai Qing Tan and Crystal Yin Lie
