Graphic Medicine Conference – Live Scribing by Camille Aubry

Our Graphic Medicine conference – Que(e)rying Graphic Medicine : Paradigms, Practices and Power – was held in Brighton last week. It was a great success. The magic was there again this year, as it has been at all the previous conferences.

We engaged Camille Aubry to live scribe the proceedings. Camille is a French illustrator and comic book artist based in Bristol. She graduated as an architect in Paris before completing an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. Through her artwork Camille likes to document stories of activism, whether they are born in the streets or at home, in the social unit of the family. Her on-going graphic novel A Journey to Motherhood was long-listed in both 2018 and 2019 for the Laydeez Do Comics Prize.

About Graphic Medicine

Graphic Medicine is a site that explores the interaction between the medium of comics and the discourse of healthcare.
