The amazing artist Wendy MacNaughton has been hosting inspiring drawing events since COVID began, many focused on drawing with children. She recently began a DrawTogether podcast, and we want to highlight this resource for those of you who might like weekly drawing prompts delivered right to your desktop or phone. You can subscribe to Wendy’s DrawTogether podcast here, and consider subscribing to support her terrific work.

We here at Graphic Medicine have also witnessed a terrific response to our Drawing Together sessions. As you may know, we created these sessions over a year ago to respond to the cancellation of our 2020 Graphic Medicine conference in Toronto, to combat the social isolation of pandemic-related lockdowns, and to support and promote community. We provide a Zoom link, a topic, and a group facilitator. Members of the world-wide Graphic Medicine community gather to draw, support one another, and share. Currently our event takes place the last Sunday of the month at 1pm ET.
You can hear Wendy tell the origin story of the Draw Together sessions in her TED talk.
We now have almost five hundred subscribers to our announcements and we gain a few more each week. In our thirty-two sessions together we have welcomed many guest hosts, including the amazing Lynda Barry. To learn about our previous sessions, and perhaps draw along yourself, visit our Drawing Together archive. If you are not on the email invitation list, and want to participate, contact MK via her website to be added to the list.
