Our special guest host for the September 2021 session of Drawing Together was Emma Rand. Emma is a cartoonist, illustrator, and Art Therapist living and working in Chicago, IL. Her day job includes working as a group therapist with a social justice focus, working with and teaching new therapeutic skills to young adults, and using art as an instrument in gaining insight into one’s self. Her personal work revolves around the core of what Graphic Medicine is – mental health and storytelling through comics. You can find her work on Instagram @woodburyrand where she publishes her comics, art, and very cute dog photos. Be sure to heck out her “Self Care During The Apocalypse” interactive comic published on the Graphic Medicine website.
This exercise is narrated by Emma, so best experienced by listening to and/or watching the video below. Exercise instructions follow the guided meditation.
