Annotation: Hyperbole and a Half is a collection of stories about depression, anxiety, identity, and Brosh’s dogs (helper dog and simple dog). Originally posted as a webcomic, the stories have been collected, although in a different order, for this book. Several parts take on heavy topics – such as depression – in a lighthearted way. Around the bits about mental health are incredibly funny things her dogs have done and explorations into her life as a child. The art is intentionally simplistic for comedic effect.
