The Graphic Medicine International Collective is proud to help sponsor Libraries & Education Day at this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF).

What is TCAF’s Libraries & Education Day?

TCAF’s Libraries & Education Day (aka LED) is a free, day-long event designed for library workers, students, educators, comic scholars, creators and others interested in comics, graphic novels, and education.

This year’s Libraries & Education Day 2025 will have a special focus on graphic medicine, and also examine topics like comics as cultural heritage, graphic novel collection development, curation, readers advisory, and advocacy.

Key Details

From the TCAF site:

Time/Date

June 6, 2025 from 8:30am-5pm ET

Location

Toronto Metropolitan University Special Collections & Archives, LIB 404, 350 Victoria Street, 4th Floor, Toronto, ON

Who can attend LED?

Whether you are just starting out or have been working with comics in educational environments for 10+ years, LED is open to all current and future comics library workers, teachers, scholars, graduate students, and other educational professionals.

If LED is free, why do I need to register?

LED is free and open to all but spots are limited so please register in advance so that we know how many people to expect – and what programs you want to see more of! Please register by May 30th to save your spot!
