Hello everyone! Let me introduce myself, Alice Jaggers. I am a medical librarian. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram at @AJaggers324 or on Facebook. I love to talk to people about graphic medicine. Most of the basic stuff I would put here, I’ve already said on my blog. You can check that out here. I’ve also written about the meaning and the importance of graphic medicine. If you want to learn more about how I came to graphic medicine, read about it here.
I have also been working on a graphic medicine database for over a year. I’m trying to collect every graphic medicine title in one place. I have zines and webcomics, but there are so many that it’s hard to collect them all. If you see something missing, let me know. In the future, I plan to implement features such as increasing searchability, ease of use, and accessibility, but that takes a great deal of work, so please bear with me!
I presented on my database at the Comics and Medicine conference in Seattle and on my work at my library at this year’s conference in Vermont. The picture was taken by MK Czerwiec during my presentation this year. I’ll be contributing to graphicmedicine.org and hope to connect with all of you. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
