Hello! I’m Gineen, and I’m delighted to be sharing my zine with you.  The zine arose out of  my desire to satisfy my frustrated parts. I was tired of being misunderstood,  judged, and mistreated around issues of access and treatment as I am living with multiple invisible disabilities. I decided that what happened when I was training a service dog to help me with my daily living, and the resultant discrimination and harm, needed to be shared. I believe many of these occurrences were because of ignorance and lack of understanding or information. Hence, as a writer-artist and mental health advocate and counselor, it was time to make this zine, “When the
Invisible Becomes Visible: A Zine about Disability, Invisible Disabilites, and Service Dogs.”
This zine is a 24 pg black and white text written by me with my hand-drawn images, with a bright color cover (rainbow colors, your choice)
printed at an independently owned local UPS store. I sell them for $7. They are free to people with invisible disabilities.
People have sent me donations beyond the cost, and i use the surplus,  after printing and shipping fees, to mail them for free to those with Invisible disabilities
This year I’ve been selling and giving them away and trading  (i LOVE trading!) in person, at zine fairs, and also via snail mail. I’m proud that a few libraries and a university now have them in their zine collections. Scroll down for purchase information.
You can find info about the zine, and how to purchase it, on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6Yz41lLPWt/?img_index=1
Email is not a good way to reach me, but i would love to hear from you! Texting, DM on Instagram or Facebook messenger are best, in that order.
