The first Healthcare Communications in the Middle East conference is taking place at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar, in Doha, Qatar, on March 27-28, 2020. Note: I feel I must apologize for the erratic schedule of these posts of late. I’ve had a fair bit of travel, but it is mostly because of stress in my personal life with moving. As I’ve drawn and shared before, stress tends to aggravate my chronic pain – I attribute it to stressing an overtaxed mind too far – and it makes doing even the most routine things more time-consuming. The 1st International Conference on Medical Humanities in the Middle East at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar invites proposals for oral presentations and posters on the topics of narrative medicine, medical sociology, philosophy of medicine, art and medicine, expressive arts therapies, medical ethics and narrative ethics, graphic medicine, literature and medicine, history of medicine and other humanistic initiatives in medicine occurring in the Middle East and North Africa region.
