What is a Spotlight post?
Spotlight posts were developed for the Graphic Medicine website as a way to share the wonderful work being done in this field, and to create opportunities for networking, collaboration, and community.
What happens to a Spotlight post?
Your post is featured on our home page for at least a week, and shared on Graphic Medicine social media outlets (Facebook group and page, Twitter, Instagram) at the time of posting. The post will also be emailed as part of a weekly newsletter to our over 1,500 website subscribers on the Saturday after it is posted. The post will be a live link in our Spotlight Archive for you to share indefinitely. On our social media and website posts, the comments are open for feedback and input from the Graphic Medicine community.
If I want you to create a Spotlight post about my work, what should I do?
Email us. A member of the website management team will be in touch ASAP to follow up and direct you to send the following items:
- Your contact information (name, website, email, organizational affiliation, if any)
- A brief introductory paragraph about you and why you are doing this work
- A brief explanation of the context for the work you are sharing (how it came about, what it is, where it’s going, etc)
- A few images associated with your work
- Any relevant links to purchase, learn, or read more about your work
We are looking forward to Spotlighting your terrific work!
